BOSTON - The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks with a 106-99 win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Dallas on Tuesday.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who scored a team-high 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Al Horford chipped in with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who scored 31 points, dished out 6 assists, and grabbed 5 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie added 23 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 18 points.

The Celtics held a 14-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Mavericks made a spirited comeback attempt, cutting the lead to 101-98 with just over three minutes remaining.

However, the Celtics made their free throws down the stretch to seal the victory and put themselves one win away from their 18th NBA championship.
