Adams Injury Leaves Raiders Passing Game In Flux

Raiders News: Davante Adams Injury Opens WR1 Void

Adams' Injury Leaves Raiders Passing Game in Flux

NFL Debut of Rookie QB

Davante Adams' injury in the Raiders' Week 2 loss to the Bills has created a significant void in the team's passing game. Adams, who led the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2021, suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter and is expected to miss multiple games.

The injury leaves the Raiders without their top playmaker and could force rookie quarterback Jarret Stidham to make his NFL debut. Stidham, who was acquired from the Patriots in the offseason, has yet to take a regular-season snap.

Adams' injury comes at a time when the Raiders are already dealing with several other injuries. Running back Josh Jacobs is dealing with a calf injury, and tight end Darren Waller is recovering from knee surgery. The team is also without starting left tackle Kolton Miller, who is on injured reserve with a knee injury.

The Raiders' injuries have left them with a depleted roster and could make it difficult for them to compete in the AFC West. The team is now 0-2 and faces a tough matchup against the Titans in Week 3.
