Castillo Copper Ramps Up Exploration
Australian-based explorer Castillo Copper Limited (ASX: CCZ) has ramped up copper exploration efforts at its flagship Mt Oxide Project amid a highly favorable market backdrop for the red metal.
Castillo Copper has identified 22 walk-up drill targets within its large tenement package in northwest Queensland, including the major Bigrlyi IOCG prospect.
The company is also accelerating its exploration strategy with the aim of creating value for shareholders. This includes a recently completed A$117 million share placement to fund further exploration and development work at the Mt Oxide Project.
Castillo Copper's Managing Director, Dr. Dennis Jensen, said the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the strong copper market and deliver on its strategy.
"We are excited to be ramping up our exploration efforts at Mt Oxide, which has the potential to host a world-class copper deposit," Dr. Jensen said.
"Our extensive historical exploration database has provided us with a number of high-quality targets to drill, and we are confident that we can make a significant discovery in the near future."
