Power Outage in Mainz
Due to construction work, there was a power outage in the Mainz-Neustadt district on Tuesday morning. Around 2,000 households were affected by the power outage. The power supply was restored after about two hours.
Defusing of Aerial Bomb
On Tuesday afternoon, an aerial bomb from the Second World War was defused in Koblenz. The 250-kilogram bomb was found during construction work on Monday. Around 4,000 residents had to leave their homes during the defusing work. The defusing was successful and there were no injuries.
Wurstmarkt
The traditional Wurstmarkt in Bad Dürkheim will take place from September 9th to 19th. The world's largest wine festival attracts around 600,000 visitors every year. Over 100 wineries offer their wines on the festival grounds. There are also numerous rides, food stalls and live music.
