Clemson’s Wide Receivers: A History of Success

Clemson has a long history of producing top-flight wide receivers. In recent years, Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins, and Tee Higgins have all starred in the NFL after playing for the Tigers.

This tradition of success is expected to continue in 2023, as Clemson returns a talented group of wide receivers led by sophomores Beaux Collins and Adam Randall.

Head coach Dabo Swinney is excited about the potential of his young receivers.

“I think that next group has a chance to be really special,” Swinney said. “They’re all talented guys who are working hard and getting better every day.”

Collins and Randall are the leaders of this group. Collins had a breakout season in 2022, catching 33 passes for 444 yards and four touchdowns. Randall is a rising star who had 20 catches for 279 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.

In addition to Collins and Randall, Clemson also has several other talented wide receivers who could contribute in 2023. These include junior Dacari Collins, sophomore Antonio Williams, and freshmen Cole Turner and Tyler Booker.

Clemson’s wide receivers will be a key part of the Tigers’ offense in 2023. Quarterback Cade Klubnik is expected to take over as the starter this season, and he will need a reliable group of receivers to throw to.
